Welcome everyone, to The North Paradise! The year is 1979 and disco fever has swept the world. All over, establishments like North Paradise have sprung up and thrived for almost a full decade, attracting celebrities, dancers and even politicians through its front doors. None, however, are as exclusive, or as
grand, as North Paradise, and people come from all over the world to experience the club first hand.

Tonight began just like any other evening at North Paradise, with a large line up outside of people
looking to rub shoulders with celebrities. The DJ started spinning records of pumping, driving disco music and dancers took to the dance floor, enticed by the flashing lights below the floor itself.

No one could have anticipated at the beginning of the evening though, just how unusual tonight would be at Paradise.
I'm sorry to announce that ladies and gentlemen, there has been a murder.

M.P. Ormonde, owner of North Paradise, was found shot in the head in the hallway outside his second floor office.

He also sustained a non life threatening gunshot to his right leg.

Around the time of the murder there was a barrage of gun fire.

A fight had broken out on the dance floor around that time, and with the loud music and cheers and jeers surrounding the fight, no one understood that there was actual gunfire in Studio Paradise. The DJ heard the gunfire and yelled, "Gunshot!" But his meaning was mistaken for the new term meaning 'awesome', and instead of being
alarmed, everyone cheered.
M.P. Ormonde was a businessman who made the club world famous
a place where celebrities, politicians and other AListers
come for fun, and people line up for hours in hopes of being
allowed inside, or even just catching a glimpse of social royalty. Ormonde was a loner though, and preferred to watch the party rather than take part. In fact, his office on the second floor is equipped with a thick curtained window, through which he watched the dancers and patrons if he felt so inclined.
